Gone For A Year And Back To Unfamiliar Territory?

26th May 2009

Dear friends and loyal readers, I must sincerely apologize for being away without posting for over a year! What happened? Well, guess who has been trying their hand at entrepreneurship, you guessed it. I have been setting up businesses and it has been quite a challenge and that's exactly what I love. Why?

Finance Tid Bits Well folks, there is a scripture in the bible from the book of Proverbs. If you are interested, do go and read Proverbs 3:13 - 15 which reads (KJV): " Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding. For the merchandise of it (wisdom) is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She (wisdom) is more precious than rubies: and all the things you can desire cannot be compared to her."

So why am I referring to Proverbs and what does that have to do with money or the price of eggs? What I have learnt in my over one year in the world of business is that having money is only but a small part of what business is all about. Wisdom and knowledge are your greatest tools. With almost the entire world economy in a recession and slow down, those that are aware of the hidden secrets of the world of finance and business are making the most they have ever made believe it or not.

I travelled far and wide and on some continents like the Middle East you hardly see traces of the economic recession simply because they kept watch on their money and did not adapt financial principles like the sub prime fiasco that we did in the USA.

I got back home and what I find is unemployment, collapsed business giants, unemployement, foreclosures, consumer debts at an all time high the same with corporate debts and losses. Now the government wants to pump billions of dollars back into our economy but throwing money at the problem will not solve its root causes. What a year!

"Wisdom is better than silver and than gold " - Proverbs 3:14
